Volleyball Legends Update 42 — Masteries + Taichou Returns
Update 42 for Volleyball Legends has officially arrived, and it’s packed with major new features and events. This update introduces the Masteries system, the return of Taichou, style balance changes, and a limited-time 2x Secret Weekend event.
Masteries System
Masteries are now live for Yogan and Hidari styles. Players can level their styles from 1-star to 5-star by completing specific in-game challenges.
- Masteries can be viewed in the STYLES menu.
- Complete quests while using the style to increase mastery level.
- Finishing all five mastery challenges upgrades the style.
Mastery Rewards
- Lucky spins
- Exclusive items
- Unique cosmetics at Level 5
Hidari’s Cosmetic: Replaces your left arm with his robotic arm at Level 5.
Yogan’s Cosmetic: Changes your red rage head flames to intense blue flames at Level 5.
Masteries will be expanded to more styles in future updates.
Taichou Returns
Taichou is back for a limited time. Known as one of the highest win-rate setters, he’s available to all players again.
- Powers up teammate spikes using magic sets.
- Stacking sets doubles the power bonus.
- Obtain Taichou while he’s available.
Style Balance Changes
This update focuses on rebalancing overperforming and underperforming styles to make the game more competitive.
Hidari
- Serve Gravity Nerfed: The lefty spike serve now behaves like TSO’s rainbow serve but without knockback.
- Spike Gravity Nerfed: Gravity is now consistent across the court, making S tilt harder to land and the style more skill-dependent.
Kisuki
- Spike Buffed: Spike power increased by 11%.
Kazana
- Spike S-Tilt Buffed: Now uses Sanu’s backtilt instead of Bakuri’s, making it easier to hit the backcourt from the air.
Twins
- Float Serve Adjusted:
- Less backspin when close to the net.
- More spin when serving from the baseline.

2x Secret Weekend Event
A new 2x Luck event is on the way. This is the best time to hunt for Secret Styles and Abilities.

- Secret pity reduced from 200 to 100
- Secret style and ability chances doubled from 0.5% to 1%
Lucky Style/Ability Spin Handout
Lucky spins will be distributed during a short window on October 25, 2025.
Time: 10:30 AM ET to 12:30 PM ET
Frequency: Every 10 minutes
Total Spins: 12 lucky spins per player
