Grow a Garden – Ghoul Garden Part 3 Update 1.29.0
The Halloween season continues in Grow a Garden with the release of Ghoul Garden Part 3, introducing the Reaper Event, limited stock rewards, new plants, pets, Glass Animals event, cosmetics, and a variety of gameplay improvements. This update deepens the Halloween experience and adds even more ways to earn rare rewards.
Reaper Event and Core Expansion
- A new Reaper Event has been added. Players can place specific required items to summon the Reaper plant.
- Limited stock is available each time the Reaper Event is completed, so act fast to claim rewards.
- New Severed Spine Seed is obtainable through this event.
- Additional Halloween achievements have been added.
- Several other event surprises are scattered throughout the world.
This is the main seasonal event of Part 3, offering time-sensitive rewards and progression boosts.
New Plants
Five new plants have been added in this update:
- Severed Spine — includes a new passive ability that punishes stealers within a small range.
- Wereplant
- Devilroot
- Ghost Bush
- Glass Kiwi
Each of these plants brings new utility, and some tie directly into the Reaper and Glass Animals events.
New Pets
New spooky pets have joined the roster:
- Mummy
- Lich
- Additional undisclosed pets to discover in-game
These new pets are tied to Halloween events and chests, offering unique mutations and synergy opportunities with seasonal mechanics.
New Items
- A Spooky Chest has been introduced.
- Each chest includes three possible seeds and three possible pets, making it a high-value seasonal item.
- Available for a limited time during the event.
Glass Animals Event and Mutations
- The Glass Animals Event has officially begun.
- This event introduces new plant mutations and unique glass-themed visuals.
- Completing Glass Animal challenges may reward exclusive seasonal content.
Cosmetics
- A new Sarcophagus cosmetic has been added. When combined with a Mummy pet, pets obtained from chests have a chance to receive extra base weight.
- Three or more new cosmetics are now available to collect.
Fixes, Changes, and Quality-of-Life Improvements
This update also focuses on cleaning up and improving the overall gameplay experience:
- Music added to the Grave Digging event.
- Dead Tree event difficulty reduced.
- Gear Shop UI improved.
- Garden Ascension Shop UI improved.
- Pet and Gear Shop now includes a restock animation.
- Second tab removed from Pet Shop.
- Collect button issues fixed for mobile users.
- Pet placement improved for better control and visuals.
- Players can now gift egg hatches to other players.
- Multiple bug fixes and minor improvements applied.
