Cookie Run: Kingdom – October 22 Update

A new chapter unfolds in CookieRun: Kingdom as White Lily Cookie ventures deep into the Catacombs, confronting the silence that has bound countless souls. The October 22 update brings a major story continuation, new gameplay modes, character releases, Magic Candies, toppings, designs, and quality-of-life improvements across the board.

Main Story Expansion: Episode 12 – Hope for Freedom

The Beast of Silence stands in White Lily Cookie’s path. As the silence spreads, players will explore the old training grounds of the Kala Namak Knights and face spectral pursuers to uncover the Witches’ secrets.

Kala Namak Effect (applied from Stage 12-7)

A Spectral Flame meter fills up over time and when enemies are defeated.
Once full, a Spectral Kala Namak Knight spawns.
The knight applies the Sign of Kala Namak debuff whenever it is hit, lowering team damage.
At full stacks, this debuff Shackles your entire team.
Charcoal Cookie, Salt Cellar Cookie, and Silent Salt Cookie are immune to this effect.

Kala Namak Effect

Bloom Effect (applied from Stage 12-21)

Defeating enemies grants Lily Petal stacks, which increase team damage.
At full stacks, the Bloom effect triggers, allowing your team to better resist the Sign of Kala Namak but reducing the power of buffs.
When Awakened White Lily Cookie is on the team, Bloom becomes Lily Blossom, increasing team damage without any reduction in buff strength.

Tactical Skill: Delicate Lily

Delicate Lily deals damage to enemies and grants the team an HP Shield and DMG Dampening buff.
Defeating a Spectral Kala Namak Knight grants one charge of this skill.
If Awakened White Lily Cookie is present, DMG Dampening turns into Invulnerability, and the skill gains two charges instead of one.

Bear Jelly Balloon Expedition Update

A new expedition area, Episode 12: Hope for Freedom, has been added.
Expeditions can yield Silence Yeast Ore, which speeds up research in the Sugar Gnome Laboratory.
There are a total of 60 units of Silence Yeast Ore available.
To unlock this area, clear Episode 12 on Story difficulty or higher.
Players must upgrade their Bear Jelly Balloon after clearing Stage 1-30 in Beast-Yeast to send expeditions to this new area.

Ancient Cookie Release: Dawnbringer – White Lily Cookie

White Lily Cookie has awakened, gaining a powerful new skill and becoming one of the most impactful characters in this update.

Upon Awakening, her skill changes to Freedom’s Bloom.
A flower bud bursts open, dealing periodic damage to nearby enemies and extra damage based on her buff stacks.
Enemies hit are entangled in Vines, preventing movement and skill usage.
Freedom’s Bloom increases Grass-type damage taken by enemies and applies Seeds, which sprout after a short time for extra damage and entangling. Sprouting time decreases when the target receives healing.
When White Lily or an ally gains a debuff, she gains Dawn Lily Restoration stacks. When enough stacks are reached, all debuffs are dispelled, allies are healed, and Petals of Restoration are granted to certain team members.
At the start of battle, specific allies gain Petals of Restoration.
She is immune to Silence and Shackles.
Once per battle, if defeated, she becomes unable to act but remains protected by Remembrance of Yearning for a short time.
Obtainable from the Nether-Gacha. After 150 pulls, you receive a guaranteed reward of her Soulprisms for Awakening.

Epic Cookie Release: Salt Cellar Cookie

Salt Cellar Cookie is a Defense Cookie with a skill focused on protection and crowd control.

Skill: Knight of Solidarity.
Deals damage and summons four Kala Namak Knights.
Grants HP Shields and Proven Worth buff to the team, removing and preventing Mark of Kala Namak while increasing DMG Resist.
Knights scale with Salt Cellar Cookie’s DEF and ATK SPD, and also receive HP Shields.
After receiving a set number of hits, the knights use Strike of Solidarity to deal extra damage and stun targets.
When paired with Silent Salt Cookie, the skill enhances further through Remembrance of Solidarity.
Salt Cellar Cookie gains extra DMG Resist based on her DEF.

New Game Mode: Guardian of the Rift

A rift has opened, bringing waves of enemies to the Cookie Kingdom. This new defense mode focuses on summoning and merging units to hold off endless attacks.

Difficulty

Normal Mode: A standard experience.
Hard Mode: Stronger enemies, longer duration. Unlocked after clearing Normal Mode.
Practice Mode available for both difficulties, with no rewards.

Gameplay Overview

Summon units using Energy and merge identical units into higher rarities.
Unit rarities: Normal, Rare, Elite, Hero.
Hero units require specific recipes to summon and do not merge automatically.
Upgrade unit ATK, ATK SPD, and summon probabilities mid-game using Energy.
Defeating enemies gives Energy, which fuels unit summoning and upgrades.

Waves

The game ends if enemy numbers exceed the maximum limit or if the boss is not defeated in time.
Boss waves appear every 10 waves, offering additional rewards upon victory.

Enhanced Enemies

Crowned Cake Hounds may appear during waves.
They have higher HP and DEF.
Defeating them rewards extra Energy.

Tower

A central Tower provides additional firepower.
Its effects depend on the equipped Core.

Guardian Bonds and Rewards

Certain Hero unit combinations grant Guardian Bonds and rewards.
Ranking is based on performance in Hard Mode.
Ranking rewards are sent after the season ends.
The Chest of Fortune system provides upgradeable reward chests after matches.

Beast Raid: Master Difficulty

Master difficulty is now available for Beast Raid.
Boss abilities are faster and more punishing, including narrower QTE windows and faster Storm of Oblivion in Phase 1.
Master difficulty unlocks after clearing Expert.
Clearing Master with S++ grants the Purifying Catacombs Lantern.

New Magic Candies

Silverbell Cookie – Verdant Chime

Heals nearby allies.
Increases Grass-type damage, Debuff Resist, and Healing received.
Stuns targets and increases their Grass-type damage taken.

Green Tea Mousse Cookie – Rush of Tea Leaves

Tea Scent buff builds during transformation and regular attacks.
At full stacks, grants Delightful Aftertaste buff to the team.
Stacks also trigger Mousse Flavor, allowing Green Tea Mousse Cookie to deal Grass-type damage.

New Toppings: Blooming Toppings

A new set of 10 Resonant Toppings has been added.
Usable by White Lily Cookie, Salt Cellar Cookie, Silverbell Cookie, and Green Tea Mousse Cookie.
Resonant Toppings have higher bonus values and do not require full sets for activation.

New Artifact: Grass

A new Grass Artifact is available in Cookie Alliance.
Increases Grass-type damage and buffs.
Upgrade cost matches existing Artifact upgrade costs.

New Designs and Decorations

Arena Statue: Banner of Freedom

New Arena Statue design available for purchase.
Flag animation can be toggled on or off.

Tree of Wishes: Silver Tree of Wishes

New tree design unlocked after clearing “Restore the Cookie Castle” quest and claiming Fountain rewards.
Available through a special package.

Sugar Gnome’s Hut: Pumpkin Hut

New Sugar Gnome Hut design added.
Applies to all huts and gnomes.
Available through a time-limited package.

Icing Themes

Echoes of the Catacombs (time-limited)
Tricks & Treats (added to Icing Gacha with chance-up and later in Pitter Patter theme)

Quality of Life Updates and Improvements

Beascuit Auto-Reset

Players can now auto-reset individual Beascuit bonus effects with Radiant Beascuit Dough.
Option to pause the process when a higher value is obtained.

Beast Raid Improvements

Shortcut button added for Team Ideas screen.
Challenge mode no longer resets when opening Team Settings.
Certain defeat animations removed.
ATK SPD limit issue for Expert phase 1 fixed.

Package and Shop Updates

Silent Salt Cookie’s All-in-One Package Vol. 1 and 2 available again.
Light of Silence Packages I–V also return.
Several packages will have their sales end one hour earlier before the next maintenance.
